Gig Harbor has been a fishing village. Most years not counting this one they have
a parade and a blessing of a fleet on the first Saturday of June then the fishing boats
head off to the coast of Washington or go to Alaska. This been happening for over
a hundred years. The bottom picture is Skansie Shed located on Shansie Park. It is
one of several located along the Gig Harbor waterfront. Many visitors come to walk
along the waterfront. I do it some times myself.
