Visit Lake Chelan

One of the most popular places to
visit for those living in Western
Washington is Lake Chelan.

It is located in North Eastern Washington.
It is about a four and a half drive from
Seattle.   It is near Okanogan/Wenatchee
National Forest. The city of Wenatchee
is about an hour drive to Lake Chelan.

Lake Chelan is 50.5  miles long while
1.3 wide. It is the third deepest lake
in the United States. Only Crater Lake
in Oregon and Lake Tahoe are deeper.

Lake Chelan has a lot to see. There
are places to stay in the area. A
lot of people go boating too.

There are other places to visit in the
area as well. If you have time can go
up to British Columbia and Alberta
as well.  Happy Travels.

Eastern Washington

Although I live in Western Washington
the other side of the state going east
is Eastern Washington.

It is lower key than this side. Getting
to eastern Washington going interstate
I90 is the most common way to go.
It all comes where you want to go.

Eastern Washington is colder than
here in the winter while hotter in
the  summer. The temperature is
often 10 degrees difference whether
colder in the winter or hotter in the
summer.

Spokane is the largest city in Eastern
Washington and the third largest in
the state. Going on I90 you will go
right to Spokane.  There a large
number of lakes if you go north
near the Canadian border.

Just like Western Washington there
are a lot of places to see. All comes
down to how much time you have.

On the way to Spokane on the interstate
after crossing Snoqualmie Pass there
is the town of Roslyn. If you remember
the television show Northern Exposure
that is where it was filmed.

If you are into camping there are several
places to camp out in the Roslyn area.

Next time I will share more about Eastern
Washington. Happy travels.
