Summer About To End

July is our best month of the year

weather wise. August has had a

lot cloudy days here in Washington

state. Even had thunder storm.

September here is generally nice.

Gets fall off in a good way. If you

like fairs we have the state fair

in Puyallup through most of the

month. Goes for three weeks.

Most people here September is

their favorite month of the year.

The sun is out and the temperature

is more what they like.

Traveling to here is good idea.

The weather is good and the

children are in school. 

The San Juan Islands is a good

spot to see. The trouble is making

sure the ferry rides are going. Best

thing is to find out first.

The eastern part of Washington

is hotter so if you want that then

a lovely place to visit. It is several 

hours from Seattle. 

The state is so large that their places

I haven't visited before. There are not

many places you can go wrong. All

depends what you enjoy. Happy

holidays and travel.

Hello July

The best time to travel within

the pacific northwest is in

July.  Most likely you won't

see any rain. Right now it is 

hot and no rain. 

There really no place that

you can't miss here at all.

Every place is a unique spot.

On July 4 I traveled to Bellingham

Washington. I had our annual

family picnic and softball game.

Most of who showed up were

second cousins. This is really

the only time I see them. 

The Bellingham area is a wonderful

spot to visit. From Seattle it is under

90 minutes to get there. It is near

the Canadian border

so take Interstate

5 heading north. There are some other

nice areas to see too.

I am sure you enjoy them still. I took them

going down Chuckanut drive from

Bellingham going south.

These two pictures are of the San  Juan

Islands. You can actually get there by

boat or Ferry. A good idea would be to

book ahead. Do a search for Washington

State Ferries.

Welcome To Travel In May

Here in  Washington and the

Pacific Northwest the weather 

is almost summer time weather 

in May. 

This year it started with rain. 

I haven't  seen  that for several 

years. This coming weekend 

is supposed to be 84 degrees 

Fahrenheit which is 29 degrees 

Celsius. This is like we have

in July.  

Easter Washington  is  usually 

a bit warmer than we we get

so expect to be in the 90s.

Easter Washington  has a lot

of nice places to see as well 

especially  in the northern

section.  The southern section 

may even be hotter. That part

of eastern Washington is wine

country. 

The Washington  coast will 

be  cooler than the rest of 

the state though itis nice to 

visit as well.  Going south into

the Oregon coast is a good thing

to do depending how much time

you have.

Wherever you go safe travel.

Travel During April

Her we are finishing  up  the  first week 

of April.  It supposed to be spring now

however in Washington  State it  feels 

like winter still.

We did have a couple  nice days so

good for the locals to visit around 

the state.  As the saying "April showers

bring May flowers". 

In recent years  May has been great

weather here in the Seattle and 

outlying areas. In fact the second 

best month to July.  Not as many 

tourists so good  for those who want 

to vacation in Washington. 

The National Parks now are requiring 

to submit online when you plan to visit.

It isn't just  the day  but the time as

well. The reason  is a lot of visitors 

and they want to be sure everyone 

has a good time. One of Washington's 

biggest attractions  is Mt. Rainier

National  Park.  

We can see the mountain  almost

everyday  unless it is very cloudy

however always nice to visit as well.

When having family visiting Mt. Rainier

is always  the place to go.

Seattle  has its famous Space Needle 

to visit and the places around it. There

is the Pike Place Market as well.

Have the time there is Glacier National 

Park going north of Seattle.  Going south

and then north is Olympic Mountains as

well as the pacific coast ocean. There

is a couple different ways to get there.

You can go to the state capital  Olympia

and take the signs for highway 101.

The other way is to get off in Tacoma

take the Bremerton exit off of Interstate

5.  You would cross the Tacoma Narrows 

Bridge and could visit me if you like.

Bremerton  is about 30 minutes from

the bridge. Bremerton  has the navy 

shipyard and you can see ships when

coming into Bremerton. 

Continuing north toward Port Angeles 

which you are on the otherside of

highway 101. You would  go west

going by Lake Crescent which is

beautiful  then onto Forks. There

are places to see and hike as well. 

When I  was in boy scouts each August 

we would hike 50 miles on one of the

trails. There are other trails much

shorter to hike.

So you see a lot can be seen in Western 

Washington  however there is Eastern

Washington as well. Let you know more

about it another time.  Safe travels!

Lake Chelan Central Washington

I plan to write here more often. Sorry it 

has been a while. There a lot of places

to visit in Washington state. 

A good place to visit especially in the

summer is Lake Chelan. It is in the

central north of the state. I haven't

been there for sometime however 

I know a lot of people who love to 

visit there each year. 

You can stay in a hotel or cabin or

an airbnb. I recommend like in most

cases to do a search on Lake Chelan 

or through an arbnb app if you use 

one of those.

Sprung or fall could be a good time

as well since the weather will be

nice and won't be as crowded. In the

summer it gets quite hot as well. 

With the lake you will have a wonderful

view and may be able to rent a boat.

Whatever you want I recommend this

place. I will give you other places to

see in Washington state as well as 

elsewhere.

What I like about Instagram is following

hikers or travelers where gives me better

ideas where to visit. I hope to go to

somewhere else this spring.

Hello September

You are one to travel in September.

Washington state is usually a good

place to come.  The weather is

nice most of the time though a little

cooler.

July is our best month to visit here

and our hottest to. A lot of visitors 

show up as well.  Many of those

who live here take their vacation in

the area to. All the places in Washington

are good to visit. We have mountains,

ocean and many lakes.  There is more

than Seattle though a lovely place to 

visit for a day or two. 

In August I took a drive to Port Angeles 

which is on the westside on the Olympic

Peninsula.  It is a nice place to visit

and look over to Whidbey Island. They

have a ferry as well you can take over

to Whidbey. A great way to enjoy.

In September Puyallup has the Washington

State Fair which just started. It is south

and east of Seattle. It runs for three weeks

or so. They have concerts however you

can see small groups during the day too.

They have many animals to see. 

Enjoy Washington during September.

Since children are back in session a

good time to come and enjoy yourself.

Summertime For Travel

Though summer is only a few days old
there are those who have already started

traveling or about too. 

The next week here  in Western Washington

the temperatures are expected in the mid to 

upper 70s over the next seven days. There

might be a couple days after that heading into

July where there might be rain, however,

July usually is the best month of the year

to vacation in Western Washington.

 Here there are so many places to visit and

enjoy with the weather not being any trouble.

You can begin with the north near Bellingham

all the way to Oregon border. There is Mount

Adams near Bellingham while going south

on interstate five off to the east and south of

Seattle you can see Mt. Rainier. Go further 

south there is Mt. Saint Helens. 

Up in the north and west of Bellingham

there is the San Juan Islands where you can 

take a ferry from Anacortes. You go north

from Seattle, there is signs near Burlington

which is about an hour away. Coming down

from Bellingham it is about thirty minutes

to Burlington. The ferry can be very busy

so going on line to find how long a wait 

to go would be recommended.

If you have some time there is Oak Harbor

a lovely place  as well. Other places in

Western Washington I will mention further.

A lot depends on your interest whether hiking,

viewing the mountains or going on the water.

Depending on your travel time you may have

to visit several times to get in all what you

enjoy. 

You want to spend the time where there

isn't as many people September is a good

time to visit as well.  I say anywhere in

Washington state is good to visit. Oregon

is pretty good to especially if you want to

go along the coast. Lovely places along

highway 101.  From Seattle you can head

south on interstate five near Olympia the

state capital look for signs to highway 101.

As the saying maybe a lot but not enough

time.
