Visit the Puyallup River

On Tuesday August 3 I took another adventure
drive this time to nearby Puyallup. Actually I
went to the river. The river goes from Tacoma
through the city of Puyallup. You take the
Puyallup exit off of I5 and go east. The river
is off to the left. This time of the year the
river is a bit muddy but is wide. The river
doesn't move a whole lot this time of the
year either. At least when you travel from
Tacoma to Puyallup.

Many people who are not from here have a hard
time pronouncing the name. I would recommend
asking someone when you come here.

The Puyallup Valley is really nice to see. Taking
the same exit take the first road at a light to the
right. Keep following the road you will come to
the valley.

Another reason to come to Puyallup is the Western
Washington fair. It takes place in September. It
used to be only two weeks long in the middle of
the month. Now the fair goes for most of September.
The weather is nice still. There is always good fair
food well as seeing animals like horses. A country
style fair for sure. Throughout the time the fair is
open there are headline singers almost every night.
Most of them are country so you like that kind of
music Puyallup is the place to be. Also  there are
smaller acts throughout the fair as well. Music
brings good tone to the fair.

The Puyallup fairgrounds is used for other events
throughout the year as well though the "Fair" as
it is called is the main event of the year.

When  you come to Tacoma I would recommend
see Puyallup whether the city or the river. Not
big thrills but still shouldn't miss it. There are
other towns like Sumner and Bonney Lake nearby.
Also Puyallup is on the way to Mount Rainier too.
You can see the mountain behind the river.
